If you are doing the journey without an overnight stop we suggest from Calais taking the auto-route virtually all the way -via Reims, Troyes, Dijon, Dole and down to Bourg-en-Bresse then Geneva.  Come off at junction 14 Annemasse then follow signs for Thonon and then Vallée d’Abondance and Châtel.  We are happy to provide more detailed driving instructions.

An alternative route would be towards Dijon then across the beautiful Jura mountains at Besançon down to Lausanne then east around Lake Geneva on the Swiss autoroute towards Montreux and then across the pass at Morgins.   This route involves buying a pass for the Swiss motorways.
