The Portes du Soleil Ski area, with over 650km of pistes across two countries, is completely linked by a high speed lift system. You can ski all week without going over the same run twice, and without taking your skis off!
For the adventurous there are the famous black runs such as the Coupe du Monde, or the Swiss wall (actually classified as an ‘Orange’ run as it’s deemed too difficult to be classified Black!) and the off-piste is without a doubt some of the best in the Alps.
Châtel itself extends across two massifs: Super-Châtel / Barbossine and Linga / Pré-la-Joux / Plaine Dranse. Additionally you are only a couple of runs away from Avoriaz linking to Morzine, Lets Gets or Switzerland.
